Aimed at achieving a calm, peaceful mind in order to promote mental and emotional wellbeing, Mindfulness has it's roots based in Budhist meditation.
It teaches us to live in the present, the here and now. The past has gone and cannot be changed, the future has not yet arrived so worrying about it is a waste of time and energy. All we have is the present.
It takes practice to quieten a noisy mind, which keeps us awake at night replaying situations we can no longer change and plagues us during the day with negative thoughts and "What ifs".
At All's Good Counselling, through relaxation, breathing techniques, meditation exercises and Mindfulness tools I can teach you to live in the moment and experience the joy and freedom that is the reward for truely living in the present and enjoying the current moment of life.
